Action Micro Fabric is used on the seat pad area, tough and preventing unnecessary wear, in an area that is often put through it’s paces. Energia Micro fabric makes up the side and rear of the short, allowing for a sublime fit whilst allowing for maximum flexibility. The third fabric used is Breathe Micro Fabric which is on the front of the shorts, allowing for impressive levels of breathability and air flow to keep you cool, even when the pace in on.

The Progetto X² Air seat pad provides a hygienic and comfortable, high quality base. The pad is made up of small indents to allow for water to disperse and keep the pad dry of perspiration. Fit is key to every Castelli product with leg grippers around the thighs, keeping the shorts in place. These five centimetre, integrated Giro3 grippers are seamlessly combined to the bottom of the shorts, allowing for effortless airflow over the shorts and with a reflective band on the rear of the shorts for added visibility.

A low front of the shorts, achieved using a lower designed bib, provides impressive levels of ventilation, especially useful on the hot, summer days when you want to get as much cool air into the system as possible.
