Castelli Donnina Womens Rain Jacket
There is nothing like being wet for ruining your ride, but this needs no longer be the case for female cyclists thanks to the Castelli Donnina Womens Rain Jacket.
There have been waterproof jackets before though, but none have them have been as ultra-lightweight as this Donnina with its unique 70g eVent® fabric. This material is more than lightweight and waterproof though, as unbelievably it is also remarkably breathable.
The waterproof protection is extended and ensured by the extra high collar, quick-lock drawstring wrist closure with magnetic string keeper, fully taped seams, silicone elastic waistband and an easy sliding YKK waterproof Vislon® zipper.
If you are not already sold on this Donnina, then perhaps the women's cycling specific fit will sway you. This prevents any of the inconveniences of jackets that have more of a mountaineering fit, especially with the stretch water- and windproof insert in the included spray flap that will fully cover and protect your lower back.
As if this was not enough, this rain jacket can be folded neatly into a jersey pocket, where hopefully it will remain un-required. This gives it huge practicality, which the two external rear pockets only enhance by keeping your essentials within reach and easily accessible, even in gloved hands.
