An art decor design meets top-quality construction in the Colnago C64 Road Frameset.

The latest in the flagship 'C' range is a celebration of the company's 64th year and is stiffer, stronger, lighter than its predecessor the C60. The high geometry suits the majority of riders, eliminating the need for a stack of spacers under your stem, putting you in the optimum position for comfort and performance. Updates include a redesigned fork, clearance for 28mm tyres, asymmetric chainstays, and compatibility with direct mount brakes. Offering balanced performance, stiffness and improved vertical compliance, this could be just the frame to feature in your dream bike build.

Colnago C64 Art Decor Road Frameset (High Geometry)

Reaching their 64th year, the Colnago has released the latest in their road racing 'C' range. The C64 Art Decor Road Frameset has a high geometry with a slightly taller headtube to suit most riders. There have been a number of updates from its predecessor, the C60, to add stiffness, increase vertical compliance and reduce the weight. This bike will provide the perfect balance of performance and comfort, perfect for long days in the mountains, hard efforts in the bunch or relaxed weekend rides.

The entire frame now has a UD (unidirectional) carbon finish that is lighter than the 3K carbon finish of the C60, and along with the other updates, Colnago have managed to shave around 200 grams off the frameset. The fork has been completely redesigned, with the rib shape offering greater comfort and an improved ride quality while the internal rib increases overall strength and stiffness. Housing the pivots for direct mount brakes, the fork is 5mm longer so the upper hollow structure can be retained whilst allowing room for 28mm tyres.

The thinner headtube is lighter, and the altered shape increases side stiffness. Proven technology from the headset of Colnago's Concept bike has been added, and the updated material of the upper cups improves both handling and vibration damping, so your hands and arms suffer from less fatigue over rough roads.

The downtube has been narrowed in the lower portion to match the rear triangle, and torsional stiffness is improved by the recessed bottle cage area that creates two long ribs around the middle of the tubing. In addition, this new design not only offers improved integration of components, it also cuts drag as your water bottle is tucked in away from the wind.

One of the most obvious differences is that the seat tube and seat tube lug are now one piece, reducing weight and increasing rigidity. An integrated seat clamp ensures a perfectly streamlined seat post area. Hidden inside the seat tube, the single removable part is tightened from underneath and provides extra locking strength proportionate to the rider weight.

Colnago's proven ThreadFit82.5 bottom bracket has been utilised, but the lug has been updated. The cable guide is moulded into the lug to create the biggest radius and improved shifting performance. The chainstays are asymmetrical and the left one far wider, improving power transfer, and the dropouts are now fully integrated, creating a one-piece construction. The result is lower weight, improved vertical compliance, and the same lateral stiffness.

Compatible with mechanical and electronic groupsets, this is a versatile frame perfect for your dream race bike build.
