DT Swiss ARC 1400 DICUT 80mm Clincher Disc Brake Wheelset
Ideal for time trials and flatter races, the ARC 1400 DICUT 80mm Clincher Disc Brake Wheelset from DT Swiss has an 80mm carbon rim paired with DT Swiss 240 hubs and DT aero comp® straightpull spokes. The 36 ratchet freehub is Shimano and SRAM compatible, and both hubs are set up for Centre Lock disc brakes, although there is a 6-bolt adapter included along with quick release hub adapters and tubeless setup kit.
The key feature of the wheels is the efforts that have been made to reduce rotational drag that affects the wheel as it turns as well as the translational drag that slows the wheel as it moves forward through the air. Spoke shape and nipple location play a crucial role in this, with the hidden nipples alone creating 4% less drag and saving half a watt.
