DT Swiss ARC 1400 DICUT 80mm Clincher Wheelset
The target for DT Swiss when they were developing the ARC 1400 DICUT 80mm Clincher Wheelset was to reduce the often ignored rotational drag as well as the translational drag in order to make them as fast as possible. Touches like using hidden nipples and DT aero comp® straightpull spokes as well as the 80mm deep carbon rim saved precious watts in real-world testing as well as in the wind tunnel.
The carbon rims dissipate the heat from braking to ensure consistent performance and the rear hub has a 36-tooth ratchet for near-instant engagement and improved acceleration, whilst the no-tool hubs are easy to maintain. The wheels are supplied with all the hardware needed to run them tubeless if so desired and Swissstop Black Prince brake pads that have been specifically developed for use with carbon rims.
