Like all SES wheels, the front and rear rims have dissimilar shapes and geometries to optimise ride performance. ENVE redesigned their rear SES 3.4 wheel with a 21mm internal rim width and 42mm x 27.5mm curvature, presenting a wheel that remains stable and compliant in blustery winds. Redefining ride performance, the 21mm internal width embraces the prevalent growth of wide tyres, optimised around the width and shape of the 25mm tyre and offers low rolling resistance perfect for both amateurs and professionals looking to attack the mountains.

Combined with the 100% unidirectional braking surface and rougher texture, this wheel proves to have superior braking performance in wet weather near equal to dry, with a 30% improved braking performance.

Additional compatibility with the industry advance tubeless setup enables lower coefficient rolling resistance, accommodating for lower tyre pressure for traction and comfort, and the reduced potential of punctures from pinch flats and debris.

At the heart of this wheel runs the super smooth, ever lasting Chris King R45. Manufactured with 45 titanium engagement teeth, this hub ensures fast effortless performance in comparison to the standard 25 tooth hubs. Weighing in at an impressive 201g this hub makes the perfect match for the 3.4 SES Rear Wheel.
