ENVE 4.5 SES NBT Clincher Wheelset with Chris King R45 Hubs
Housing the latest new brake track technology (NBT), which offers 30% greater braking performance both in the wet and the dry, the ENVE 4.5 SES NBT Clincher Wheelset with Chris King R45 Hubs are ready for any road adventure. The 4.5 SES version is the perfect midpoint between the all-out aerodynamics of the 7.8 SES and the climbing prowess of the 3.4 SES wheels. With the 4.5 SES Wheelset, you get the best of both worlds.
The SES rim profile has been designed to provide the best possible speed and stability. The 48mm front and 56mm rear rim depths are designed to create minimal air turbulence; guiding air around the wheel and bike with the minimal drag profile. Combined with this is the wide 18.5 and 17mm internal rim widths. This width provides extra stability and greater tyre traction both on the flat and in tight and fast corners.
Braking performance has been improved, with the new brake track featuring a special textured and reinforced surface that is designed to create increased friction and heat dissipation between the pad and the rim, allowing for a 30% increase in braking performance in both the wet and the dry.
ENVE's joined forces with Chris King for the hubs. The black R45 hubs are ultra stiff and strong, with the freehub on the rear compatible with either 9/10 or 11-speed Shimano/SRAM cassettes.
