Endura D2Z Road Suit
When Endura began working with Drag2Zero, their goals were simple; to achieve step-change advances in cycling aerodynamics. Recognising the demand for a race suit optimised for road racing on the hoods and in the drops, they created the Endura D2Z Road Suit.
From Endura's experience with Drag2Zero at the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 wind tunnel, their advanced understanding of aerodynamics lead them to make significant modifications across their range of D2Z garments to best fit the discipline they are created for. For instance, Surface Silicone Topography was applied only to the leg panels of this race suit, because that's what performed best in the wind tunnel and in real-world race environments for riders in the road bike position.
Heavily textured sleeve and flank panels also contribute to the cutting-edge aerodynamic performance of the garment. The combination of technologies tricks the airflow to stay attached to the body for longer, effectively making the rider's profile perform more like an aerofoil shape. The road suit performs at its aerodynamic best between 32-50kmph.
Raw edge hems and superfine silicone grippers offer a top quality feel for secure comfort throughout the day. The garment also boasts a split front design, with articulation at the front of the waistband. This contributes to prolonged comfort and enables quicker and easier nature breaks. The three rear pockets provide ample storage for an entire stage race while featuring an aerodynamic spoiler to maintain aerodynamics, even when stuffed full.
The 1000 Series Aero Pad is positioned further forward towards the nose of the short portion for top comfort on the hoods and in the drops. This pad features computer cut technology and offers up a Continuously Variable Profile (CVP) that enhances the comfort and absorbs shock when out on the road. A BioCeramic high-stretch, fast-wicking construction provides a comfortable next to skin layer, while a permanent anti-bacterial finish assures you of long-lasting performance.
