The MaXx-D Mk13 Front Light is Exposure Lights second most powerful offering, with a whopping 4,000 lumens maximum output. This is more than sufficient for some seriously technical riding after dark and the inclusion of their Reflex technology allows the rider to fully concentrate on the trail ahead rather than having to fiddle around changing the settings. Reflex uses 3D digital accelerometers including a gyroscope and thermistors to monitor and analyse the bike’s movements, it then adjusts the output of the light accordingly so that maximum power is available when needed but doesn’t waste the battery when riding easier sections. 

The durable aluminium construction is tough enough to withstand the inevitable knocks and scrapes of off-road riding and the metal quick-release bracket holds the light in place on the handlebars with a wobble-free grip. An OLED display clearly shows the remaining runtime in each of the many modes, and with up to 36 hours of light available in the lowest setting, there is plenty of power available.
