If you have a rigid spine and need something to soften the blow on long, arduous rides, then the Fizik Aliante R1 Carbon Braided Saddle is a great option.

Its carbon, co-injected nylon layup reduces vibrations for a more comfortable ride, whilst the carbon rails keep the overall saddle light and supple.

Fizik Aliante R1 Carbon Braided Saddle

The Fizik Aliante R1 Carbon Braided Saddle is part of Fizik’s innovative Spine Concept, which depicts each rider by their level of flexibility, and then matches them to the type of saddle. Of this, the Aliante R1 is the longest, making it perfect for riders who have a rigid spine (Bull) and tend to opt for a more endurance orientated and upright position in the saddle.

The shell of the saddle is constructed from Fizik’s composite carbon, co-injected nylon TwinFlex material, making it incredibly stiff and responsive to any power or force you put through the saddle. Thanks to this material, it stays firm and doesn’t allow for any loss of power when you’re hammering up a climb or surging along a flat, whilst still providing the comfort you need for long, harsh days in the saddle.

Carbon braided saddle rails further enhance comfort on rougher terrain, absorbing vibrations that would otherwise be transferred into your rear end. Prospering over steel or aluminium rails, carbon rails are also proportionally lighter in comparison.
