Crafted from some of the finest 3K woven high modulus carbon and 7075-T6 aluminium money can buy, Rotor's Qarbon Q-Ring BCD 110 Outer Aero Chainring boasts some huge performance advantages through the Q-Ring’s oval shape, which is proven to improve power output with a much smoother pedal stroke.

There’s a reason 70% of the peloton uses them.

Rotor Qarbon Q-Ring BCD 110 Outer Aero Chainring

Explaining how a Q-Ring works can turn into a long debate of where the most powerful part of your pedal stroke is, but to put it simply; between the angle of 1 o’clock and 4 o’clock is where you produce the most power. As soon as your foot hits the bottom of its stroke, the output gets weaker. The Rotor Qarbon Q-Ring BCD 110 Outer Aero Chainring's shape decreases the inconsistency of the pedal stroke and increases how consistent your power output is by reducing the area where your pedal stroke starts to fade.

Giving a perfect spin requires the smoothening out of torque variations and the engagement of your strongest muscles. Using your strongest muscles means you’ll be giving out more power, but more power means the materials are more susceptible to flex. Not with the Rotor Qarbon Q-Ring BCD 110 Outer Aero Chainring, though. Made from a composite of 3K woven, high modulus carbon and 7075-T6 aluminium, the Q-Ring maintains its stability with the carbon sheet bonded to the outside of the chainring, reinforces the chainring's structure. This results in a chainring which is 8% lighter, 20% stiffer than a standard chainring and now 70% of the peloton use one.

The Rotor Qarbon Q-Ring BCD 110 Outer Aero Chainring is designed to work with all 9, 10 and 11-speed drivetrains.
