Santa Cruz 5010 5 CC X01 Mountain Bike
Engineered for fun, the Santa Cruz 5010 CC X01 Mountain Bike rolls on a potent combination of nimble 27.5” wheels and a short rear end to deliver a lively, exhilarating ride on any trail. Designed to turn flowing trails into pump tracks and trail features into take-offs, the geometry is absolutely dialled, and the 130mm of lower-linkage driven VPP suspension provides plush traction and efficiency. With an eye for detail, Santa Cruz has equipped this frame with a simple to service threaded bottom bracket and universal SRAM mech hanger and offers a lifetime warranty on the frame and bearings for total peace of mind.
Long in reach, the ride character is stable and forgiving despite the stout 130mm travel on offer. A short seat tube length allows for long-travel dropper posts, and the low standover allows for a wide degree of manoeuvrability on the bike. A shock mount flip-chip adjusts the geometry to be either more stable or more efficient, and fully sleeved internal routing allows for trivially simple gear and brake installation.
Loaded with top-end componentry, this edition of the 5010 sees the highest end CC carbon layup for rigidity and ultra-low weight. 140mm of front suspension is provided by the impressive RockShox Pike Ultimate fork, which is paired with a Super Deluxe Ultimate rear for a balanced, capable ride. Industry Nine hubs are laced to Race Face ARC rims to ensure lasting durability, and the ever-impressive SRAM X01 drivetrain offers positive shifting across its entire 12-speed range.
