Santa Cruz Bronson Alloy R 27.5+ Mountain Bike 2021
The Santa Cruz Bronson Alloy R 27.5+ Mountain Bike has many personalities, it can perform on any terrain, with a mix of poise and agility it will pilot you across fast or technical sections and excel on the downhills. It features a VPP (Virtual Pivot Point) lower-link mounted, one-piece swingarm rear suspension design, vital for the improved tracking for the rear wheel and the progressive shock rate. The sum of this is a more composed feel to the bike and with the addition of the RockShox Yari fork, you have a very plush ride. That isn't to detract from the capabilities of the Bronson, it does the rough stuff without fanfare.
Contributing to the smooth ride is the tyre choice, the Bronson Alloy R is fitted with 2.6" wide tyres that allow it to roll over roots and rocks with ease. The 27.5" WTB rims are reliable and are paired with SRAM hubs to present a setup that rolls effortlessly.
The drivetrain is SRAM's super reliable NX Eagle groupset, the 12-speed lineup is capable of taking on and besting the biggest challenges. The cassette has a huge range and dovetails nicely with the other components to ensure consistent gear changes every-time. The SRAM Guide T hydraulic disc brakes are the definition of customisable. You can adjust the contact point so you determine when the lever should engage on the travel, no need to get used to them, they can be set from the off. If that wasn't enough, SRAM levers work on either side of the cockpit, so you can select what works best for you.
