The Santa Cruz Bronson Carbon CC XTR Reserve 27.5" Mountain Bike is a multifaceted performer that is unruffled by any trail no matter how severe. Its careful balance of nimbleness and muscle allow it to be equally at home whether flicking through singletrack or charging down rutted jump lines.
The frame features Santa Cruz’s CC carbon which exhibits the pinnacle of the companies composite knowledge, and is laid across the tube shapes in a stringent format to promote increased strength in high load areas. This main chassis is then joined to a one-piece swingarm rear suspension unit via a lower-link design to infuse a progressive shock rate and fluid mid-stroke support, resulting in an ultimately snappy ride sensation that also instils confidence via an efficient pedalling platform and composed trail adhesion. The RockShox Lyrik Ultimate fork then complements these positive ride characteristics with its controlled and sumptuous travel naturally increasing trail line precision and balance.
The already highly proficient ride character can then be tuned in accordance with rider preferences or terrain conditions via a compact, discreet, Flip Chip unit that is positioned within the rear linkage. This component is easily configurable by the user and allows ultimate refinement of the ride behaviour for an utterly personalised trail experience.
The Santa Cruz Reserve 30 wheelset features the companies own carbon which is laid in a specific format to issue unfaltering compliance and strength when traversing even the harshest of trails. A 30mm internal rim width mates with the 2.5-inch front and 2.4-inch rear tyres to bring about heightened handling even through loose and slippery surfaces. The wheelset is then completed with the slick rolling properties of the precision-made i9 Hydra hubset.
Any landscape is conquerable thanks to the wide-ranging 12-speed cassette with this providing a perfect gear whether climbing or descending. The ratios are selected with an exacting nature by the range-topping, electronic Shimano XTR groupset, before the stiff and efficient E13 TRSr Boost crankset ensures of reactive forward drive. Braking is then imparted by an ultimately regulated but powerful hydraulic format to provide reliable stopping in any conditions.
