Santa Cruz Hightower 2 C 29 R Mountain Bike 2021
The favoured Enduro race bike of many of Santa Cruz's sponsored athletes the Santa Cruz Hightower 2 C 29 R Mountain Bike is a force to be reckoned with on race day and when shredding trails with friends. Lighter than the longer travel Megatower but more confidence-inspiring than the whippet like Tallboy, the Hightower allows you to climb, descend and navigate everything in between more than comfortably.
Santa Cruz has upped the travel on this generation of Hightower with 150mm at the front and 145mm in the rear. When you combine this with the slacker head angle of 65 degrees you get a super capable ride suited to conquering even the gnarliest of trails. The suspension is mounted to one of Santa Cruz's most advanced frames to date thanks to a balanced approach to stiffness and weight, ensuring the frame tracks well and transfers all power from the pedals, without adding extra weight.
Santa Cruz doesn't just keep performance in mind, simple additions are added as well to make your life easier. These include space for a bottle in the inner frame triangle and a threaded bottom bracket to keep maintenance easy. To protect your ride there is a tailgate shuttle guard, downtube protector, shock fender, and noise-cancelling chainstay protector, and all this adds up to mean you can rest easy while you are riding or driving your bike to the trail centre.
In this specification, Santa Cruz Spec SRAM NX Eagle to give you reliable 12-speed gears with an ultra-wide 11-50 tooth cassette. With this option, you get all the benefits of SRAMs years of MTB innovation with a much smaller price tag than other options. Excellent chain retention and effortless shifting are hallmarks of the NX line and will help you spin up the climbs or bomb descents all day.
