Santa Cruz Nomad Carbon CC X01 SDU 27.5" Mountain Bike 2020
The Santa Cruz Nomad CC X01 SDU 27.5" Mountain Bike is the culmination of several generations of Nomad with some technological advances to produce a real trail tamer. Starting with the Santa Cruz Carbon frame, they've improved their carbon layup process, the result of this extensive R&D process is a stronger carbon used on the front triangle but less material is now required so it reduces the weight by a few grams.
It features the same technological advances that appear in the rest of the range, such as the new rear shock position This change to where the lower-link is fitted has seen improvements in how well the Nomad handles rough ground. The RockShox rear shock manages the feedback from humps and lumps in a composed manner. Upfront the FOX 36 Float Performance Elite fork works well with the bike's geometry to give traction and sure-footedness regardless of the trail's twists and turns. Rider confidence in the handling is increased further with the changes to the geometry, with a longer wheelbase the ride is now more stable, offering greater balance and composure. This can be enhanced further with the Flip Chip feature, for more grip or a lighter front wheel, the chainstay lengths can be changed.
The power is put through SRAM components, using the X01 Eagle groupset to ensure the generated wattage is not wasted. The demands of the terrain are managed with reliable changes as SRAM's parts are race-proven to provide solid changes time and time again and to take on climbs the range of gears is extensive, a 10-50 tooth cassette is part of the line-up. Saddle height is paramount when taking on more challenging topography, the RockShox Reverb Stealth dropper post will ensure this is no longer an issue as you can adjust it on-the-fly.
To manage and control your speed, powerful hydraulic disc brakes are fitted, complete with 200mm Avid Centerline brake rotors so you are assured of stopping when you need to.
