Santa Cruz Nomad Carbon CC X01 SDU Reserve 27.5" Mountain Bike 2020
The Santa Cruz Nomad CC X01 SDU 27.5” Mountain Bike is a rider's dream which combines technology and know-how from previous iterations to create a platform that is capable and inspiring to ride. An improved carbon layup process has resulted in a front triangle that now is not only stronger but lighter too in this CC version.
The Reserve in the name refers to the upgraded wheelset, where DT Swiss hubs are allied with the Santa Cruz carbon rims to create a wheelset that is agile and capable of dealing with a variety of riding. The suspension has gone through some changes too; the shock has a lower-link mount which has improved small obstacle response and progress is smoother so momentum is better maintained. The addition of the Flip Chip rear suspension feature allows for further fine-tuning of the geometry by simply swapping round the chip, which gives a slacker set up. The fork is FOX's Float Performance Elite with up to 170mm of travel for finding that perfect line through the gnarliest of terrain.
The top drawer SRAM X01 Eagle 12-speed groupset has a wide-ranging cassette to conquer climbs or descents, and power is never wasted as the SRAM crankset works in perfect unison with the oversize DUB axle to provide efficient wattage transfer. Braking is performed by SRAM Code RSC hydraulic disc brakes, offering great stopping power whatever the conditions. A RockShox Reverb Stealth dropper post allows the saddle to be in the right position for the terrain ahead and can be altered on-the-go.
