Shimano Dura-Ace R9270 Power Groupset

The Shimano Dura-Ace R9270 Power Groupset comprises the top of the range gear, brake and power meter components for professional-level bike builds. The electronic Di2 gears adopt a semi-wired format that sees wireless STI levers send gear change signals to the rear derailleur. The rear derailleur acts as the system's brain and is hard wired to the front derailleur and internal battery. Using this semi-wired format, Shimano has offered 1000km of derailleur run time while also granting more powerful gear change actions for quicker gear shifts. An updated E-TUBE iOS and Android app partners the gear system, offering the rider opportunity to fully customise the gear change behaviour.

The 12-speed cassette adds a sprocket to promote less aggressive gear jumps and increased gear ranges and incorporates Hyperglide+ sprocket technology that, along with the more powerful derailleurs, ensures super slick operation. A HollowTech II aluminium crankset is light and ultra-rigid and includes super-accurate, dual-sided power measurement to facilitate serious training sessions.

The STI levers have more pronounced hood peaks and elongated hood bodies to grant additional hand positions, and the carbon levers feature Servo Wave braking technology to reduce empty lever travel and heighten braking control. In addition, these levers link to a one-piece hydraulic disc brake caliper that features pads that have 10% increased spacing to quieten noise after prolonged braking.
