Trek Rail 5 SX Eagle Electric Mountain Bike 2021
With an enviable list of hard-hitting, trail-ready components and an electric pedal-assist motor, Trek’s Rail 5 SX Eagle Electric Mountain Bike offers great value for money. The Bosch Performance CX, 250W motor has four power modes: Eco (60%), Tour (140%), Turbo (340%) and the intelligent eMTB (140-340%), all operated from the handlebar-mounted Bosch Purion controller and the downtube battery can be removed for recharging thanks to RIB technology.
29” wheels help the bike carry speed over rough terrain, and the Schwalbe Nobby Nic EVO tyres are tubeless-ready to help reduce punctures and improve grip. The Alpha Platinum Aluminium frame offers 150mm of travel along with Mino Link variable geometry, ABP (Active Braking Pivot) and Control Freak internal cable routing. The RockShox 35 Gold RL fork has 160mm of plush travel for when the going gets really tough, whilst 4-piston Tektro hydraulic disc brakes provide tireless stopping power.
SRAM’s SX Eagle groupset takes care of shifting the chain across the very wide-range 12-speed 11-50t cassette. The final icing on the cake is the TranzX dropper seatpost that enables the saddle to be lowered on the fly on steep or technical sections for better control and confidence.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
