Trek Rail 9.9 XTR Electric Mountain Bike 2021
The Trek Rail 9.9 XTR is an aggressive, long-travel Electric Mountain Bike crafted from carbon and at home on the trails. Kick up climbs with an ample 250w of assistance at up to 25 km/h with the Bosch Performance CX motor, lighter and more compact than its predecessors for sleek integration, and remove the Bosch Powertube 625 battery from the downtube for simplified charging, no tools required. There's room to mount a bottle cage even with the inclusion of Bosch's most powerful battery, which completes a full charge in a little under five hours.
The top-tier Rockshox ZEB Ultimate fork provides a hefty 160mm of travel with chunky stanchions that won't flex, whilst 150mm of rear travel in the RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate shock is ultra-responsive thanks to the RE:aktiv Thru Shaft damper, which serves to elevate rider control and quieten rough trail chatter.
Shimano XTR 12-speed components ensure shifting is refined, smooth and crisp, with gearing options to maintain even pedal strokes over the most testing gradients so that motor function remains consistent. 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes lend unflinching stopping power, whilst large volume, tubeless-ready tyres and wide rims make for fast-rolling fun with improved traction and grip where needed. Flip the Mino Link to quickly adjust geometry, and get the saddle out of the equation swiftly with the Bontrager Line Elite Dropper seatpost - ideal when shifting weight over the back wheel.
