Trek Session 8 GX Mountain Bike 2022
With an all-new high pivot suspension layout and revised geometry, the Trek Session 8 GX Mountain Bike 2022 delivers unparalleled traction and handling to make it Trek’s fastest downhill bike to date. Fully updated with modern geometry numbers, the Session’s burly aluminium frame is built strong to hold up to bike-park abuse, and features a revised sizing system that allows the rider to select a size for their ride style, not their height.
The redesigned frame brings with it exceptional grip on even the roughest terrain. By utilising a high pivot style linkage, the rearward axle path is increased, which lifts the back wheel up and over obstacles to reduce hang up on roots and rocks. To combat pedal kickback, an idler pulley is used, which provides a controlled feel when landing jumps and drops.
Coming stock as a full 29” setup, the frame is capable of being run in a 27.5” configuration through the use of an aftermarket EXT headset cup, and can even be run as a mullet 27.5” rear, 29” front by switching the Mino Link to the high position. A lower shock mount progression Flip-Chip allows the progression rate to be adjusted between 20 and 25%, depending on your preference.
The durable frameset is backed by an equally tough build kit, featuring the workhorse SRAM GX 7-speed drivetrain for no-nonsense, crisp shifting. The Boxxer Select fork features the ultra-plush Charger RC damper and rear suspension is taken care of by a supple FOX Van Performance coil shock, both of which provide excellent grip and feel. SRAM Code R four-piston brakes deliver confidence with their supreme power, and the Bontrager Line DH 30 wheelset features a 108 POE rear hub for near-instant acceleration.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
