Trek Slash 9.8 XT 29" Mountain Bike 2020
Trek’s Slash 9.8 XT 29" Mountain Bike is an enduro bike that is right at home in the biggest mountains and toughest terrain. The 150mm travel carbon frame has a RockShox Deluxe RT3 RE:aktiv shock with Thru Shaft 3-position damper for extra responsiveness that has been tuned by Trek Suspension Lab. The RockShox Lyrik Select Plus up front has 160mm of travel, making a formidable pairing for taking on any course. The frame also features Knock Block and Carbon Armor protection and has Trek’s Mino Link that can be used to alter the geometry. Cables are internally routed for neatness and protection, including those for the Bontrager Line Elite Dropper seatpost.
Powerful and reliable, Shimano’s 4-piston SLX hydraulic disc brakes are a great option for the kind of relentless riding that this bike was designed for, as is the excellent XT drivetrain which provides surefooted shifting across the 12-speed 10-51 tooth cassette, be it under pressure uphill or at maximum speed downhill. Bontrager’s 29” Line Carbon 30 wheels utilise wide Boost hubs to give the best of both worlds, with the stiffness and accuracy of 27.5” and the speed and rollover attributes of 29”.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
