This absoluteBLACK Oval Sub Compact Outer Chainring is designed for use with Shimano cranksets that use a 110BCD, 4 hole mounting configuration and is made from a strong, stiff and durable CNC machined 7075 aluminium to grant excellent power transfer. The oval configuration accentuates the most powerful phase of the pedal stroke, but minimises energy losses through the dead spot to help the rider lower their oxygen consumption and fatigue on demanding rides. The oval format also reduces stress on the knees, particularly when climbing, to decrease the chances of overuse injuries.

Important

• Due to very special offset construction, the 46-tooth chainring is only compatible with the matching 30-tooth inner chainring (available separately), and the 48-tooth chainring is only compatible with the matching 32-tooth inner chainring (available separately). The special chainring bolts required for mounting are supplied with the 30-tooth or 32-tooth inner chainrings
• No other combination or mix of rings will work
• Due to the special mounting construction, aesthetic bolt covers are not offered for this design
• absoluteBLACK always recommends using a new chain when fitting new chainrings
• For this chainring, absoluteBLACK only recommend using Dura-Ace 11-speed chains or SRAM Eagle 12-speed chains for proper clearance of the mounting tabs
