absoluteBLACK Oval Shimano 110BCD 5 Hole Sub Compact Outer Chainring
This absoluteBLACK premium quality outer chainring has been designed for Shimano cranks that use a 110BCD 5 hole mounting format and has an innovative oval shape. This oval configuration emphasises the most powerful portion of the pedalling cycle but reduces resistance through the dead spot, helping the rider to realise more efficiency, less fatigue and reduced occurrence of injury. The chainring is made from a 5mm thick, strong CNC machined 7075 aluminium to guarantee excellent power transfer and is specifically designed to be used with the matching 32-tooth inner chainring (available separately).

Important
- Due to very special offset construction, this 48 tooth chainring is only compatible with the matching 32-tooth inner chainring (available separately). The special chainring bolts required for mounting are supplied with the 32-tooth inner chainring
- No other combination or mix of rings will work
- Due to the special mounting construction, aesthetic bolt covers are not offered for this design
- absoluteBLACK always recommends using a new chain when fitting new chainrings
- SRAM Yaw front derailleur compatibility: Due to the construction of SRAM Yaw front derailleurs, the absoluteBLACK Sub Compact chainrings are not compatible with them. If you replace your SRAM Yaw front derailleur with a Shimano equivalent (there are no indexing issues between Shimano front derailleurs and SRAM shift levers) you will be able to use the absoluteBLACK Sub Compact chainrings
