Constructed from ENVE's premium carbon fibre, the 4.5 weighs in at a mere 396 grams, ideal for spinning up steep climbs with ease, while the 24 hole drilling ensures high levels of strength and durability on uneven terrain. Featuring an external width of 31mm, this rim has been tailored to pair with 28-30mm tyres to reduce the rolling resistance and offer optimum grip and control on looser surfaces.
Utilising a completely new design, ENVE have separated themselves from some of their competition who simply lay decals over an existing caliper rim. The advantages of this new approach are significant, with the removal of the flat braking surface aiding both the rims aerodynamic efficiency as well as greatly reducing its weight.
