Visiting a Sigma Sports Store - FAQ

Can I shop in-store without an appointment?

Due to government-imposed tier 4 restrictions coming into place, general browsing will not be possible after this time at our Hampton Wick and Oakham stores. The ground floor will be accessible should you require items such as saddles, saddlebags, tyres, tubes, lights, cleaning products, tools, energy food etc. Should you wish to explore our range of bikes, eyewear or footwear in-store please follow the steps below to book an appointment.

How do I book an appointment?

For Hampton Wick store bike, clothing eyewear and footwear sales consultations please email hwsales@sigmasports.com.

For Oakham store bike, clothing, eyewear and footwear sales consultations please email oakhamsales@sigmasports.com.

Can I pick a new bike up then and there?

We would always wish to build you a new bike based upon your measurements and sizing, ahead of taking a bike off the shop floor.

Do I need to provide a deposit when purchasing a bike?

A 10% deposit will be taken when the bike sales team representative arranges the collection appointment with the customer.

Can I try clothing on in-store?

Unfortunately, due to the risk of contamination, we have had to close our changing rooms and as such will not allow your clothing to be tried on in-store. Clothing consultations and purchases will still be possible. Should you wish to pick up an item of clothing in-store that you have viewed on our website please use our Reserve and Collect service.

What bike fit services are available?

Our bike fit services are temporarily suspended. Find out more about the bike fit services we offer and register your interest in our Hampton Wick store service by emailing hwbikefit@sigmasports.com. To find out more and register for our Oakham store service please email oakhambikefit@sigmasports.com.

How do I book my bike in with the workshop for a service?

Our workshop demand is incredibly high so we are only taking bookings for customers who have bought a bike with us in the past six months and for customers with urgent issues.

Can I make a purchase with a Sigma Sports eGift voucher in store?

Yes, you can use a Sigma Sports eGift voucher in-store or online. Find out more about receiving, giving and redeeming an eGift voucher.

What finance options are available in the store?

We offer a range of competitive finance options.

I have a Cycle to Work Scheme voucher, can this be used in-store?

Yes, Sigma Sports are affiliated with Cyclescheme, the Bike2Work scheme and Cycle2Work, vouchers from all of these schemes are accepted in store. Find out more about using Cycle to Work vouchers in-store.

How do I go about returning an item bought in-store?

To return an item purchased in one of our stores, please bring proof of purchase and original packaging in with you when you come to exchange the item(s). Please take a look at our returns page for further information.

How do I go about returning an item to the store-bought online?

Items ordered online may be returned to a store but will be returned to our head office to process the refund. Please bring proof of purchase and original packaging with you when you come to exchange the item(s). Please take a look at our returns page for further information.

Is it possible to exchange an item in-store purchased at Sigma Sports?

We accept exchanges in-store. Please bring proof of purchase and original packaging with you when you come to exchange the item(s). Please take a look at our returns page for further information.

How do I know if an item on the website is in stock in the store?

Choose your preferred store and select a colour and size (if applicable) and we display the stock status on the respective product page. Please see below for an example.

Are there social distancing and other safety measures in place in the stores?

 

We ask you to please use one of the many 'touch-free' hand sanitisers we have installed around the store and wear a face mask.

Can I park my bike or car at the store?

Hampton Wick Store

We have limited bike parking in-store and have a small customer car park at the rear of the store that can accommodate five cars. There are also two car parks located just a few minutes walk away.

There is 1-hour free parking available on Bennett Close which is a 3-minute walk to our store. On the opposite side of the road to our store on Old Bridge Street, there is a short stay Pay and Display car park which is a 2-minute walk.

Kingston town centre has several multi-storey car parks plus other parking facilities and these can be easily found by driving over the bridge and following the one-way system: the car park signs are clearly visible. It is only a short walk from the town centre over the bridge back to the shop.

Should you wish to cycle to the store there is a bike rack located outside the premises to allow you to park your bike.

Oakham Store

We have limited bike parking in-store and bike racking outside the front of the store. Our car park, in front of the store, can accommodate up to six cars. The nearest public car park is next to the store, just off South Street.
