We have state-of-the-art workshop facilities at both our Hampton Wick and Oakham stores. Please head to our contact us page and complete the form to enquire about booking your bike in for a service at either our Hampton Wick or Oakham store.
On the day of the service, we kindly ask to have your bike delivered to us is in a clean state and in the shop no later than 10 am. We do not offer a specific time slot to carry out the service on your bike. Should you wish to wait while you have your bike serviced please provide us with as much notice as possible. We will strive to get your bike serviced and finished before the end of that day - depending on the availability of spares. If we have to clean your bike, an additional charge of £15 per bike will apply.
You will get a phone call from the mechanic to confirm prices with you before any new parts are fitted. We will not continue with any work until we have spoken to you first, so accurate contact details are essential. Any worn/broken parts will be disposed of unless otherwise requested. Your bike must be collected within a week of it being serviced or repaired. We reserve the right to charge for storage if bikes are not collected within a reasonable time.
The Gold and Silver services start from £180 and £130 respectively. If your bike has hydraulic brakes, the Gold service will be £230 and the Silver service, £180. If you book in for a Silver service and your headset needs to be stripped down and re-greased, the price will be £150.
Apart from our standard services we can do almost anything to a bike that doesn't involve welding or brazing the frame - that's still the province of a frame builder. The services are charged at £50 an hour - and we work to the nearest 15-minutes/£12.50. Among the procedures we regularly carry out are the following:
Fitting an old groupset and wheels onto a frame
Build-up of new frame and components
Fitting a new headset
Swapping a cassette
Fitting new bottom bracket
Fitting bar tape
Fitting a tubular tyre
Wheel Building Service
Handbuilt wheels are built for a purpose. They are built around the cyclist's needs and wants and the conditions that the rider might face out on the road, pave or off-road.
All our handbuilt wheels are built in house at Sigma Sports. We carry a large variety of rims, hubs, spokes and nipples from all manufacturers such as DT Swiss, Chris King, ENVE and Knight Composites to name a few, and we will happily order in preferred rims and hubs to meet any specific requirements. We can also rebuild your existing wheels.
Please use the form on our contact us page or pop into the shop and we will be happy to talk through your specific requirements or guide you in choosing your next handbuilt wheelset. There is a £50 building fee per wheel.
