Thermarest’s high-performance Hyperion 20 UL Small Sleeping Bag is ideal for smaller users, as there is less dead space to heat up, making it warmer quicker. The Nikwax treated 900 fill goose down lofts 60 times better than untreated down as it doesn’t absorb any moisture, making it a much more effective insulator. Just as key to its warmth is the use of box wall baffles and zoned fill, which puts more down where it is needed and less where it isn’t, maximising the warmth-to-weight ratio.
All the down used is Responsible Down Standard Certified so that the birds used in the manufacturing process are treated humanely. A compression stuff sack helps the sleeping bag be packed down very small when necessary so that it takes up as little space as possible in a pannier or rucksack, whilst the larger storage sack lets the down loft properly and maintain its effectiveness between trips.
