Fizik Adaptive 3D-printed padding has expanded to the Aliante family, creating the perfect match for those who seek exceptional, long-lasting comfort on a waved-profile saddle with a slightly wider platform, designed to maximise support and pressure relief.

The evolution of digital 3D printing has allowed for the development of a new saddle free from the constraints or limitations imposed by traditional production methods and materials. The Adaptive saddle padding is crafted by Carbon® using their revolutionary Digital Light Synthesis™ technology. DLS is an additive manufacturing process that uses digital ultraviolet light projection, oxygen-permeable optics, and programmable liquid resins to produce parts with excellent mechanical properties, resolution, and surface finish.

Using Carbon® technology, biomechanics and engineers have an unprecedented opportunity to design and manufacture multiple functional zones within the saddle, tuning each of them separately for specific mechanical properties. Each of these key functional zones is engineered for distinctive cushioning and mechanical response, joined together progressively and seamlessly in the same padding. The result? A 60% reduction in peak pressure through improved weight distribution for increased comfort across the entire saddle surface.

Aliante is a waved saddle that features a gradual, tapered transition from wing to nose. With a slightly wider platform to support the ischial bones, it improves stability and weight distribution for all-day rides. With a focus on comfort, the newly redesigned Aliante has a flatter surface to allow for more evenly spread pressure and a balanced feel, especially useful on extended endurance rides.

Aliante Adaptive 3D-printed padding has been engineered to provide every rider with the right support, regardless of riding position, for long days on the bike. The unique properties of our Adaptive technology allow us to design thicker padding with a softer central functional zone, instead of a cut-out, increasing the saddle’s surface to better spread pressure across the saddle, improving comfort on longer rides.

The Aliante R3 Adaptive uses a 7x7mm Kium rail, offering durability and a lightweight build for a reliable and comfortable ride.
