Santa Cruz Stigmata Carbon CC Force AXS Reserve Gravel Bike 2020
Built with gravel, cyclocross and road versatility in mind, the Santa Cruz Stigmata Carbon CC Force AXS Reserve Gravel Bike ensures that the road never ends. By blending a tremendous fountain of off-road knowledge with advanced composite materials and high-end components, the Stigmata is ready for any road, gravel track or off-road path.
The full carbon frame of the Stigmata has taken important material lay-up cues from its mountain bike siblings to place material exactly where it's needed the most. The result is a balance of stiffness, handling and off-road prowess that it can put to use when surging away from corners or when bludgeoning across uneven paths. Versatility is entwined within the makeup of the chassis, and the scope of compatible tyre widths, up to 45mm when using a 700c wheelset, further evidences this.
Internal cable routing keeps the aesthetics neat and tidy while a threaded bottom bracket ensures trouble-free maintenance. Mudguard mounts on the frame and the fork increase the scope of use through to commuting and winter road riding before three sets of bottle cage mounts complete the frameset feature list in a comprehensive manner.
The Santa Cruz Reserve carbon wheels feature a specific lay-up of materials and off-centre drilling for an assured but compliant ride, even over rough terrain. A 22mm internal rim width then caters for wider tyres before DT Swiss 350 hubs add their smooth bearings and hardy hub shell to the wheelset package.
The gear set up is a combination of SRAM Force and Eagle X01 AXS. Both communicate wirelessly to afford slick and smooth shifting across the super wide-ranging 12-speed cassette while the single chainring at the front is simple and efficient. Forward drive is issued by the Force crankset and DUB axle before a fully hydraulic disc brake configuration contributes modulated braking across a variety of conditions.
