Trek Fuel EX 9.8 GX AXS Mountain Bike 2021
Tricked out with state of the art wireless SRAM shifting, the Trek Fuel EX 9.8 GX AXS Mountain Bike is a trail bike for all riders. With confident geometry and fast-rolling 29” wheels, the Fuel EX is a ripper on flowing trails but still offers impressive performance on technical descents. The 130mm of rear travel is paired with a stiff, unwavering 140mm FOX 36mm fork for supreme on-trail performance, even when the terrain gets rowdy.
The size range ensures a perfect fit for riders of all heights, with the XS model rolling on smaller 27.5” wheels to keep the ride more manageable. Specific to Trek’s high-end mountain bike range, the Fox Performance Float EVOL rear shock uses a unique ThruShaft technology that allows the suspension to react faster to impacts, which in turn increases traction. The carbon frame is lightweight and stiff, making it easy to manoeuvre on the trail. Internal downtube storage offers room for nutrition, tools and more, and a downtube guard protects the bike from stone chips and knocks.
The GX AXS shifting is customisable to your preference through the accompanying SRAM mobile app and offers lightning-quick shifts and easy setup. A Bontrager Line Elite 30 carbon wheelset offers rapid acceleration owing to its low weight and 108t Rapid Drive engagement, making for a spritely ride character. Bontrager XR4 Team Issue tyres are fast-rolling and offer exceptional grip on a range of terrains.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
