Trek Project One Fuel EX 9.8 GX Eagle 27.5" Mountain Bike 2020
The Trek Project One Fuel EX 9.8 GX Eagle 27.5" Mountain Bike is based around a full-suspension carbon frame with 130mm of travel from a FOX Performance FLOAT EVOL rear shock that has RE:aktiv with Thru Shaft 3-position damper for better ground tracking. The frame also has Knock Block to prevent the fork crown from hitting the frame, BITS internal storage for tools, and Trek’s Mino Link that switches the geometry between two options by simply flipping a chip in the rocker depending on rider preference or usage. The frame is paired with a 140mm FOX Performance 36 FLOAT EVOL air spring fork with GRIP damper for added plushness and tunability
By using 27.5” Bontrager Line Carbon 30 wheels rather than 29” with the smaller frame, the nimble handling and ride quality is maintained, and both the wheelset and the XR4 Team Issue tyres are tubeless-ready for easy conversion. Bontrager also supplies the dropper seatpost which allows the saddle to be dropped and raised on the fly for tricky sections. Shimano SLX hydraulic disc brakes are specced alongside SRAM’s 12-speed GX Eagle drivetrain, ensuring performance and reliability.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
