Trek Rail 9.8 XT Electric Mountain Bike 2021
Powering up climbs and delivering on the trails, the Trek Rail 9.8 XT Electric Mountain Bike features carbon construction and truly high-performance parts that make for joyous off-road exploring with an extra kick.
Internal cable routing ensures a clean aesthetic whilst the RIB (Removable Integrated Battery system) means no tools are required to access and remove the battery, and it is kept hidden neatly within the frame. The Bosch PowerTube 625 battery charges to full capacity in just under five hours, and the Bosch Performance CX motor lends up to 250W of assistance at up to 25 km/h, so there's less climbing time and more time hammering the descents this bike chomps up so enthusiastically. To top it off, this motor is lighter, more compact and efficient than previous incarnations thanks to diminished drag when not in use, and a near-indetectable feel when pedalling.
Providing front suspension is the top-end, RockShox ZEB+ Select fork with stiff 38mm stanchions and 160mm of travel to tackle varied all-mountain terrain and to the rear is the responsive RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate Shock with an updated damper for ultra-smooth performance. Should fine-tuning be required, the geometry of this bike can be subtly altered to best suit rider preference using the Mino Link.
The sharp 12-speed Shimano XT components provide gearing options galore for the most brutal gradients and do so with snappy shifting that's reliably clean and quick, whilst the single front chainring makes for easier maintenance. Shimano SLX hydraulic disc brakes are fast and reactive whatever the weather or terrain, and when opening it up on descents, the Bontrager Line Elite Dropper seatpost comes in handy.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
