Trek Slash 9.7 NX/GX 29" Mountain Bike 2020
Trek’s Slash 9.7 NX/GX 29" Mountain Bike offers great value as an enduro style bike, with the same carbon frame as its more expensive siblings. Thus it still has 150mm of travel from a Trek Suspension Lab tuned FOX Performance Float EVOL shock with Thru Shaft damper, and also benefits from Knock Block protection and Mino Link adjustable geometry. The FOX Rhythm 36 Float EVOL air spring fork brings 160mm of suspension travel to the front end, with the ability to cope with both big hits and smaller bumps just as admirably.
The 12-speed drivetrain is supplied by SRAM, with a mixture of NX and GX Eagle parts for reliability and performance, whilst the Guide R hydraulic disc brakes are a tried and tested favourite. The 29” Boost Bontrager Line Comp 30 wheelset and Bontrager XR4/5 Team Issue tyres are tubeless-ready, so can easily be set up to reap the benefits with greater puncture resistance and greater traction. Last but not least is the all-important Bontrager Line Dropper seatpost that allows the saddle to be lowered and raised instantly on the fly.
