Trek Supercaliber 9.8 XT Mountain Bike 2020
The Trek Supercaliber 9.8 XT Mountain Bike has been conceived to deliver the quickest and most accurate performance across the most demanding of cross country settings. A comprehensive blend of advanced technologies and materials ensures that any rider, from die-hard racer through to serious trail enthusiast, will conquer a wide variety of trails and courses in the most efficient manner.
The frame comprises Trek’s own, in-house, OCLV carbon that promotes low weight and reactivity for any demanding ascent or sinuous section of singletrack. This chassis incorporates an innovative rear suspension system called IsoStrut that amalgamates near hardtail-like efficiency with 60mm of plush suspension for enhanced line accuracy. The Fox Performance 32 fork complements the frame by increasing line precision and comfort across a broad scope of surfaces via its 100mm of travel.
The Bontrager Kovee Elite 30 full carbon wheelset is responsive to facilitate quick manoeuvres but is also robust and sturdy when confronted by rocks, ruts and roots. The 29” wheel circumference naturally enhances passage across all manner of obstacles before the tubeless-ready tyres are reliable and grippy across a multitude of surfaces.
The venerable Shimano XT 12-speed gear configuration is crisp and accurate with its wide-ranging cassette providing the perfect ratio regardless of course topography. The stiff and efficient Shimano XT crankset ensures that no power is wasted even when stamping hard before the full hydraulic disc brake configuration grants powerful but highly modulated stopping in even the muckiest of conditions.
Full carbon Bontrager handlebars take care of steering duties before a carbon seat post completes the package in comprehensive style with its low weight and vibration dampening properties.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
