Castelli CX 2.0 Speedsuit

The Castelli CX 2.0 Speedsuit is Castelli’s brand new, top of the range cyclocross-specific speedsuit that has been developed with Team Telenet Fidea on the UCI Continental Cyclocross circuit.

CX 2.0’s construction is predominately made with Thermoflex fleece fabric on the upper portion, whilst a single-piece of Action 290 fabric resides on the lower section. This enhances stretch and fitting, doing away with uncomfortable and bulky multiple-panel shorts and jerseys, whilst also enhancing durability as there are no seams or joints.

The Thermoflex fleece has been incorporated to enhance warmth on cold, brisk mornings and long sleeves further boost this, not letting any air escape for a much more comfortable ride. A higher neck roll also provides greater protection against the elements.

Halfway through a cyclocross race, things start to heat up. Everyone’s giving it all they have and people forget that the layers they had on at the beginning of the race can push them to overheat. A full-length YKK Vision zipper allows you to quickly adjust your ventilation without taking your mind off the race, and a large pull tab that has been ergonomically designed to be easily grabbed with muddy gloves, ensures you’re not faffing about for too long.

Castelli’s KissAir seat pad lays at the heart of this speedsuits comfort. It’s minimal in bulk but its heightened absorption of vibrations and bumps allows you to keep your speed at full throttle without having to worry about your backside.

Although cyclocross racers are short in length, they are high in intensity. Some riders may struggle without quick-acting gels to help spur them on, and that’s why Castelli have used 2 rear pockets to allow you to carry all the nutrition you need.
