Garmin Varia Radar RTL510
The Varia Radar RTL510 Rear Light from Garmin is an evolution in rider safety.
Visible up to 1.6 kilometres away during daylight, the powerful light emits up to 65 lumens, and is visible at angles up to 220°.
The key feature that separates this light from its competition is the rear radar function. Using ANT+ technology, the Varia Radar RTL510 communicates with compatible Garmin Edge and Wahoo ELEMNT device (sold separately) to provide rider feedback about traffic approaching from behind. Furthermore, if the radar detects that a vehicle is approaching quickly, it intensifies its flashing pattern to better warn the driver of the cyclist's position.
The Garmin mount included fits neatly to the seat posts on most road-use bicycles, including racing, touring and commuter styles, providing an easy interface to attach the light too, with Garmin's famous quarter-turn system.
This unit has an inbuilt rechargeable battery that can last up to 15 hours in flashing mode, or up to 6 hours when used as a solid rear light.
