Mavic Comete Pro Carbon SL UST Clincher Special Edition Wheelset
The Comete Pro Carbon SL UST Clincher Wheelset uses Mavic's most aerodynamic rim, one that has been wind-tunnel tested to ensure both drag reduction and high stability. The special edition graphics, inspired by sprinter stages at the 2019 Tour de France, finish the wheels off perfectly. UST technology is one of the many highlights and when run tubeless in combination with the Yksion Pro 25mm tyres, rolling resistance is reduced by around 15% compared to a tube-tyre setup, comfort and traction are enhanced and there's less risk of flats.
The Instant Drive 360 freewheel makes for punchy acceleration and smooth rolling, and steel aero spokes lace the hubs to the full carbon rim. The rim has a 64mm deep NACA profile and the wide, rounded shape means stability is high, matching that of far shallower rims. iTgMax carbon rim technology is utilised in the rims and a laser treatment improves braking performance, no matter if the roads are wet or dry. The 26mm wide rims make for perfect integration with 25mm tyres to form a complete system and an incredible ride feel.
