Bought to upgrade my stand from quick release axles to through axles, made financial sense with the cost of a new stand. I would caution that since I bought my stand bottom bracket standards have evolved so the shape of the frame that rests on the stand has also changed, therefore although this adapter is a functional replacement, it does leave a compromised stand that doesn’t hold a modern bike as securely as it held an old one. If I was buying again I would consider more seriously changing my stand to a modern version rather than upgrading the old despite the cost
