Description

Princeton CarbonWorks Wake 6560 PCW Disc Brake Wheelset

Princeton CarbonWorks’ Wake 6560 PCW Disc Brake Wheelset is a wind-cheating, fast-rolling option that utilises a sinusoidal carbon rim design for extra speed and strength. The variable depth rim helps lower drag by reducing the effects of vortex shedding, smoothing the airflow over the wheel. Doing away with spoke holes in the rim bed improves the stiffness of the wheels and reduces weight at the same time, as the holes don’t need strengthening and it also makes the conversion to running them tubeless simpler at the same time. At 26mm wide externally, the rim provides good sidewall support to wider tyres, helping them open out into a U-shape rather than the traditional lightbulb shape.

Sapim’s renowned CX-Ray spokes in a two-cross configuration provide a good balance of stiffness and compliance for handling and comfort whilst aiding the aerodynamics and PCW’s own hub adds durable smooth-rolling bearings and Center Lock compatibility.
