The Salomon Speedcross 5 Wide Fit Trail Running Shoes provide great traction in soft and loose conditions thanks to the widely spaced chevron-shaped lugs on the outsole which allow for both push-off and braking grip. Energy return is also excellent, with the high-rebound midsole providing a springboard into the next stride as well as acting to cushion each landing. The neat, fast Quicklace system is easy to operate, and in conjunction with the SensiFit cradle acts to control and stabilise the foot throughout the stride, which is especially important on uneven off-road terrain.
