The Specialized BG SL Footbed Red Insoles has been redesigned for lighter weight and more efficient power transfer. Ergonomically designed & scientifically tested Body Geometry footbeds were co-developed with Andy Pruitt, Director of the Boulder Center for Sports Medicine, to customize fit and measurably improve performance.
Red denotes minimal contours for riders that prefer minimal support Body Geometry footbeds provide longitudinal arch & metatarsal support for a custom fit.
Used these in my Sidi shoes to replace the standard insoles which were causing pressure hot spots on my feet. Been on several long rides and the Specialized insoles work well. Be aware that they are slightly oversized, I had to get the size down which fitted perfectly.
I was training regularly for an ultra ride and was getting increasing pain in the ball of my right foot which it was suggested was ‘hot foot’. I tried other insoles but nothing helped. I switched to the red version of these only a week before the ride in desperation (definitely too late to trial properly) and they worked! Pain reduced 90% and will be sticking with them. Definitely a personal thing in terms of fit but work well for me. I tried the green/blue versions previously and they just shifted the site of pain as very high arched
