Specialized Pizza Pannier Rack

Not just for delivering pizzas as its name suggests, the Specialized Pizza Pannier Rack is the ideal versatile rack for adventure riding or carrying kit around on your bike. Attaching to your bike's fork, the strong and light aluminium construction provides a 15kg carrying capacity and the rails can fit any pannier hook compatible with 13mm or larger rails.

The large flat upper platform allows for an extra bag or pizza box. Following the pizza theme, the folding design of the rack means it can be folded down to the size of a pizza box when not in use.

Graeme,

Bought this for a Dawes Galaxy Tandem as was having tired others this was the only rack that would fit mid fork eyelet with no requirement for a hole on the dropout or other unwanted modifications. We Toured the outer Hebrides and Skye for 2 weeks with no problems at all. Comfortably handled 2x Pannier bags at about 5kg each and the pizza carrier on top was perfect for our cool bag. Very pleased would buy again.

A nice rack and a good alternative to low riders - especially useful on forks without "double sided" rack bosses. Also useful if you don't want to run seperate rack and low riders or a full on integrated front rack. Easy to put together, but the supplied fork crown bolt wasn't long enough to pass through my fork crown, so I had to source another from a LBS. Getting the "pizza" brackets to fit was a bit of a fiddle, but once done, the rack felt solid and well attached. Like a lot of front racks, it sits a little higher over the front wheel than necessary. That said, steering did not feel compromised - combined weight of rack, bags and equipment I carried was about 10kg. The rack will take a lot more (but not my carbon fork!). Obviously the steering is influenced by frame/fork geo as much as the weight carried. Overall quality was good, although the powdercoat/anodizing did rub off pretty easy. Inclusion of a longer and non recessed fork crown bolt, more adjustability at the flower ork mount, and better paint, would make this an excellent rack. I would buy again.

  2. Hi  would this fit a boardman CX comp bike? 55.5 cm frame? Cheers

    Asked by Lou (Huddersfield)

    1. Hello, Unfortunately, it does not look like this would fit. The best option to get a definite answer would be to bring the bike into store for our mechanics to check compatibility. Many Thanks Liam

  3. Would this fit a Kona Jake straight off. If not would simple modification be possible?

    Asked by Charles CS (Dorset)

    1. Hi Charles, As far as I can see the Kona Jake doesn't have fork mounting point for this item so this will not work, Many thanks Joe W

About Specialized

Innovate or die.

Founded in California in 1974, Specialized began with a simple promise: serious riders deserve serious gear. Half a century later, the brand still funds its own wind tunnel, builds its own carbon, and tests every bike with the world's best so that you ride your own best.

The first production mountain bike. The first cycling-specific shoes. FACT carbon, the Win Tunnel, S-Works. Specialized has a habit of building the things the rest of cycling ends up copying.
