Four great reasons to buy your bike from Sigma Sports
Sigma Sports has one objective - to help you find your perfect bike. Our friendly, knowledgeable staff ask you a series of questions to understand what type of rider you are and the type of riding you do. We can then identify the style of bike that best suits your needs.
Riding a bike that fits you perfectly will help keep you injury-free and ensure you enjoy riding further for longer in total comfort. We check your measurements on a jig to ensure your optimal set-up.
When you collect your new bike we'll double-check your position and make any micro-adjustments if required. We'll also discuss the controls on your bike as well as maintenance tips.
Cyclescheme can save you up to 39% on a bike and accessories. Visit our Cycle to Work Scheme page to learn more and claim.
Trek Domane 4.1 Compact Road Bike 2016
Most would describe this as an endurance road bike, but the Trek Domane 4.1 Compact Road Bike 2016 is not about enduring it is all about conquering! Yes there is the comfort afforded to you by a more relaxed geometry and the phenomenal engineering of the IsoSpeed technology, but this is paired with fast frame that is built to win in the toughest races, or on your sportives.
A lot of this exceptional quality comes from the 400 Series OCLV Carbon fibre frame that is built to Trek's endurance geometry. This gives you more height in the front to relieve pressures on your lower back and shoulders, whilst also improving stability and control. As you would expect from a company with as many race wins as Trek, this is balanced with all the qualities to obliterate your opposition.
No matter what your cycling goals though, the Power Transfer Construction means you get the most out of every pedal stroke, allowing you to ride further faster. This is added to by the E2 head tube and BB90 bottom bracket. This is one of the widest on the market to deliver the best power transfer at the lowest weight.
The big selling point is the IsoSpeed technology in the frame allows the seat tube to rotate independently from the top-tube-to-seat stay junction, increasing vertical compliance to twice that of the nearest competitor, without compromising pedalling efficiency.
The IsoSpeed fork has a generous ride-tuned sweep with the shape increasing compliance for a smoother ride, and unique dropout placement optimising the wheelbase while an extra curve above the dropout in the swept-leg design creates a smaller angle to the direction of road vibrations.
Trek have recognised how much you are going to love this bike and want to ride it everyday, and have therefore incorporated vanishing mudguard mounts so that bad weather need not stop you enjoying it. Perfect set up for a commuter bike.
This bike is well finished with the Shimano Tiagra ten speed groupset offering excellent gear shifting over the impressively wide spanning gear range of the 11-32 rear casette that will always ensure you have the right gear for any terrain. Their sister company Bontrager supplies the lovely finishing kit of handlebars, stem, seatpost, tyres and wheels.
