Ideal for time trial riders, triathletes or aggressive road racers, the Zipp 858 NSW Carbon Tubeless CL Disc Brake Rear Wheel slices through the air to save precious energy and markedly increase speed.
The rim is realised in the highest grade of carbon fibre to guarantee low weight and excellent power transfer and possesses an innovative, wavy, SawTooth profile. This profile utilises Hyperfoil nodes along its inner circumference that vary the rim’s depth between 77 and 82mm. By doing this, aerodynamic drag is slashed, and crosswind stability is markedly improved. The SawTooth profile also increases lateral rigidity, while the HexFin ABLC dimples on the rim’s surface help to further minimise wind resistance.
The Cognition V2 hub spins on smooth bearings and uses an Axial Clutch freehub to almost cancel resistance when freewheeling. This freehub provides near-instant pedalling engagement, so it is ideal for when accelerating out of corners or responding to attacks in the peloton. Sapim CX-Ray spokes join the build via an efficient, durable two-cross lacing pattern.
