The Elite Direto-XR T OTS Turbo Trainer and Vel Accessory Bundle is a good way of ensuring that an indoor training set-up is off to a great start.
The Vel Foldable Turbo Trainer Floor Mat protects hard floors from damage, prevents the trainer from moving around under hard efforts and prevents sweat from soaking into carpets. Furthermore, it damps down any noise generated and when not in use it can be folded up for easier storage. Vel’s Sweat Guard catches corrosive sweat before it can contact the frame, stem or headset and cause any damage. It attaches to the handlebar and seatpost of any sized bike and can be washed regularly.
Elite’s direct drive Direto-XR T OTS Turbo Trainer offers up to 3,600 watts of resistance, with an independently certified accuracy of +/- 1.5%, making it a very useful training tool when accuracy and repeatability are of paramount importance. A realistic road feel is generated by the oversized flywheel gearing wheel and the included front riser block ensures that the position closely replicates that of outdoor riding. The wide feet keep the unit very stable in use but can be folded away to make storage easier. The trainer has a good degree of compatibility with various frame standards and cassettes, and includes 12 month subscription to Elite's My E-training App.
