The Santa Cruz Hightower CC X01 Mountain Bike is a tried and tested all-mountain bike featuring 145mm of plush, lower-link driven VPP suspension for unrivalled grip and composure. Now in its third edition, this model borrows performance features from its longer travel stablemates to deliver a supreme ride experience on all gradients. Attention to detail is stunning, with a downtube protector, shuttle guard and ribbed chainstay protector helping to safeguard the CC grade carbon frame from ride related damage.
Rolling on 29” wheels, this bike is fast. Small bumps are ironed out by the larger wheels, which offer a higher top speed than their 27.5” counterparts. A SRAM X01 drivetrain issues crisp, precise gear changes throughout the wide 12-speed range, with levers positive feel offering a heightened shifting experience. This is paired with SRAM Code RSC brakes for ultimate control on the descents and a high-quality carbon handlebar for vibration damping performance. A 150mm FOX 36 Factory suspension fork rounds out the specification, delivering unrivalled traction and the exceptional tunability of the GRIP 2 damper.
