Santa Cruz Nomad Carbon C R 27.5" Mountain Bike 2020
The Santa Cruz Nomad Carbon C R 27.5" Mountain Bike takes the know and expertise from the previous models and adds in a sprinkling of new technology to deliver performance and versatility. The Nomad is equally at home on the climbs as it is heading down rocky or technical descents. The carbon frame ensures a responsive feel and allied with suspension know-how from RockShox this becomes a bike to navigate the toughest trails.
The suspension configuration is new, the lower link mount enables the smaller obstacles to be smoothed out and the response is more controlled and poised. The Nomad continues to be at the forefront of MTB technology, with a longer geometry and a lower bottom bracket that ensures maximum stability and confidence for the rider, regardless of where they take it. The bike shouldn't limit where you ride, so you'll find this Nomad true to its name. With 170mm of travel on both the fork and rear shock allowing the rider to pick an assured line and with Flip Chip technology the rear suspension can be tuned further to face more challenging sections with greater confidence.
The 27.5" wheelset contributes to the precise steering, their ability to roll over bumps whilst providing the rider with confident steering. SRAM hubs provide smooth rotation and WTB the rims to create plenty of momentum when the power is applied. To provide the go-forward, the accurate and reliable SRAM NX Eagle groupset is supplied, offering a 1x setup and with a cassette designed to master any terrain with a broad range of gear choices. To complement the big travel ability a Race Face Aeffect dropper post is fitted, so you can adjust the saddle height on-the-fly to deal with changes in the landscape.
When the need to bring all this fun to a stop or to moderate speed, the SRAM hydraulic disc brakes will do this competently and in all conditions. This is a trail bike, built for big challenges but can be at home for enduro rides or just a bit of fun.
