Santa Cruz Tallboy AL R Mountain Bike 2022
Blurring the lines between cross country and trail, the Santa Cruz Tallboy AL R Mountain Bike delivers a direct and efficient ride character that doesn’t compromise on fun when the descents get technical. Mirroring the lower-link VPP suspension system seen on their long travel models, the Tallboy offers 120mm of plush, effective suspension travel and sees progressive geometry numbers to help keep it planted in the rough. Short and nimble, the chainstays encourage fun, lively riding, while the 29” platform provides outright speed on fast, flowing trails, and the slack 65.5-degree head angle issues confidence for fast descending.
Constructed from high-quality aluminium, the frame is exceptionally durable, a trait mirrored by the 12-speed SRAM NX drivetrain. Four-piston SRAM Guide T brakes offer ample stopping power for fast riding, and a FOX suspension package offers traction and performance on all gradients. A Burgtec Enduro MK3 stem is paired with a RaceFace Ride handlebar, and Maxxis tyres add grip on loose terrain.
