Combining a powerful and smooth Full Power 2.0 motor with a long-lasting 710Wh battery, the Specialized Turbo Vado 4.0 Step Through Electric Hybrid Bike provides a reliable pedalling boost when commuting, tackling a demanding fitness workout or adventuring long into the wilderness at weekends. The integrated motor controller reads the rider's pedalling input to ensure smooth power delivery up to a maximum speed of 15.5 mph / 25 km/h, and the level of motor assistance can be easily adjusted on the fly by the handlebar-mounted MasterMind controller. Additionally, the MasterMind controller doubles as a display for ride metrics and can be linked to the Mission Control app to perform motor tuning, diagnostics, software updates and activate the Turbo System Lock anti-theft setting.

The motor and battery are hidden inside the robust, lightweight aluminium frame to give a clean and smart aesthetic. The frame is realised with a step-through format to allow easy getting on and off, and has been tuned to donate extra compliance over rougher riding surfaces. This comfort is complemented by the plush suspension fork, suspension seatpost and big-volume tyres. Strong wheels guarantee reliability and are driven by a wide-ranging, smooth-shifting SRAM 11-speed gear setup. Stopping duties are charged to the powerful hydraulic disc brake configuration, while extras such as lights, mudguards and a rear rack complete the build and facilitate riding in all conditions.
